Hello to you all for the new year. Following my successful office as senior vice president in 2006 thanks to the support of the body of the society, I am honored again to take the office of president for the year 2008. The Korea Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering hosts academic conferences twice each year, the spring and fall conferences being held at the beginning of April and November, respectively, at universities and research institutes country wide.
